Sharlee Taylor is originally from Atlanta, GA, where she developed an interest in theater at the prestigious Alliance Theatre.

After studying Theater and Linguistics at UC Berkeley, she received her MFA from the A.R.T./Moscow Art Theater School Institute at Harvard University – there, she understudied as Flo in Mark Rylance’s Nice Fish, as well as performing in Young Jean Lee’s The Shipment, and Dying For It. After graduation, Sharlee moved to New York to pursue acting & modeling.

She has performed in numerous venues in the city, including an original production at The Tank, Dixon Place, as well as stage readings at The Lark and with Katori Hall. She recently completed filming independent film WE WERE YOUNG, and is currently making her La Mama debut as Basimah in THE MESSIAH COMPLEX.

Sharlee enjoys aerial silks, singing, playing her ukulele and electric guitar, and infrequent but much needed cat naps.
